He said he had decided to re-active in politics after a long period of 27 years and joining Pervez Musharraf as he was not now a dictator but the head of a emerging political party of country. He said he remained with Pakistan Peoples Party on and off particularly when PPP was out of government and he supported its movement for the betterment of masses.
"When I thought for joining of APML, many of my friends asked me why Pervez Musharraf had not found you when he was in power, I replied that even this time, Musharraf has not found me but I myself found APML to join," he added. He said "Pakistan came into existence with unlimited sacrifices and struggle of millions of people, and a large number of population living here have knowledge about the importance of this country and they are struggling still for the betterment of the country," he added.
Maulana said "My past and present is crystal clear and there is no spot of wrongdoing on my political career." Though, he said he was old and had not stamina like he had in young age but he would provide all kind of support, advises and other things in light of his political experience to the APML.
To a question, Ehtram-ul-Haq replied that if any General was in uniform, he called dictator but if he was not, nobody could say him dictator. He said everybody would wash his wrongdoings himself, "I joined to APML for the sake of country as I know only this party would serve the country and would run the country on real path of development," he added. Earlier, Aasia Ishaque has welcomed Moulana Ehtram-ul-Haq Thanvi in APML. She also extended APML's support to the Sindh's Cultural Day celebrated by the people of province.
